Permits - Town of Bon Accord

The Town of Bon Accord Land Use Bylaw 2000-06, provides the requirements for Building and Development.

Development, Building and related permits

Effective May1, 2009, all permits, excluding Development permits, will be issued by the Inspections Group Inc.

Permit application forms (Building, Electrical, Gas & Plumbing) are available at the Bon Accord Town Office or from the Inspections Group or either website.

Note: Permit applications are NOT a permit, until they are processed and approved by a Permit Issuer or Safety Codes Officer from the Inspections Group Inc. You must NOT commence work on your project until you have received an "Approved Permit". To do so, may result in construction changes where extra costs will be borne by the Applicant.

The following must be submitted to the Inspections Group Inc. before a "Building Permit" will be processed:

A copy of the development permit with all pertinent information for the proposed construction (obtained from the Town of Bon Accord Office)
Copy of site plan
Payment in full of permit fees, to Inspections Group Inc.

In addition for:

Single Family Dwellings & Commercial:

· Three copies of the proposed building construction plans (including roof truss and floor system layouts).

Minor residential building (i.e. decks and garages)

· One copy of the proposed building construction.

All “Other” permits must also be obtained from The Inspections Group:
·   Gas permit
    Electrical permit
    Plumbing permit
