Bon Accord Harvest Days - This summer festival takes place in August and includes a myriad of activities; something for all ages - ball tournaments, family games, kiddie rides, petting zoo, pancake breakfast, family dance, and performances such as last year’s Strathcona Mounted Troop Musical Ride.

Bon Accord Parks & Playgrounds - There are 5 parks/playgrounds within the Town of Bon Accord:

  • Bon Accord Community School (4715 - 57 Street) - equipped with playground equipment, baseball diamonds, and soccer fields.
  • Lilian Schick School (4509 - 54 Avenue) - equipped with playground equipment, basketball hoop, and open field area.
  • Centennial Park (located behind Food Town @ 49th Avenue & 50th Street) - equipped with swings and a 'train' for children to play on. During the summer months this parks is also equipped with picnic tables.
  • Rose Glen Park (52 Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets) - equipped with playground equipment and an open field area.  During the summer months this park is also equipped with picnic tables.
  • Springbrook Park (52 Avenue between 53rd and 54th Streets) - equipped with playground equipment, open field areas and a Heritage Rose Garden. During the summer months this park is also equipped with picnic tables.

Bon Accord Town Wide Garage Sale – The first Saturday of June is the day to clean out the garage, attic and house. We have a Town Wide Garage Sale on this day. Meet your neighbours, and people from other communities. As you know, “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure.”

Bon Accord Economic Development Committee holds an annual Trade Fair and Exposition in September. We use this occasion to showcase local business and local community groups. We also welcome businesses who wish to showcase their culinary talents in “A Taste of Bon Accord”. Take this opportunity to promote yourself, let the community know who you are, what you do, why you matter and how you make a difference.

Alberta Pioneer Railway Museum - Highway 635. Take a look back in time! Open weekends and holidays May to September.

Cardiff Park - This beautiful family park includes golf, baseball/fastball diamonds, volleyball nets, playgrounds, fishing, canoeing and day camping facilities.

McLeod Creek Farm - Highway 28 north of Gibbons. Fun for the whole family! Join in a hayride, go horseback riding, or take a tour of the farm and meet the animals. The kids will love the huge sandpit. Give them a call at 921-2490.

Goose Hummock Golf Course - Located on Highway 28 north of Gibbons. A challenging 18 hole championship course.

Japanese Home stay - In Spring of each year, the Community of Bon Accord and Lilian Schick School host Japanese students and dignitaries for a period of three to four days.

Oak Hill Junction -  Southeast corner of Sunnyside Road and Highway 28.  Rest area with picnic tables.

Sturgeon River Historical Society - Located in the Town of Gibbons. Complete with picnic tables, you can bring the whole family and make an afternoon of it.

Spring Creek Golf Course - An eighteen hole executive par three family course located two miles south of Bon Accord on Range Road 240.
